Senior Data Engineer Forecasting & Machine LearningExperience : 610 yearsMode : HybridRole Overview : We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in time-series forecasting, demand prediction, and scalable ML/data architecture. This role involves designing and deploying advanced forecasting models, building scalable data pipelines, and implementing ML-driven business solutions across manufacturing and supply chain domains. You will be expected to bring strong architectural skills, hands-on engineering expertise, and domain knowledge to translate business needs into technical outcomes.Key Responsibilities : Forecasting & Analytics : - Develop and implement accurate forecasting models leveraging historical and live data.- Apply time-series analysis techniques to uncover trends, anomalies, and business insights.- Continuously optimize forecasting models to improve accuracy and adapt to business dynamics.- Apply advanced ML algorithms (XGBoost, Random Forest, Deep Learning, etc.) for predictive modeling.- Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify actionable insights.Machine Learning & Model Lifecycle : - Design, develop, validate, and deploy ML models supporting various business use cases.- Leverage Databricks ML & Spark capabilities for large-scale training and inference.- Implement end-to-end ML lifecycle processes (data preparation, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring).- Optimize model performance and ensure scalability, reproducibility, and maintainability.Data Engineering & Architecture : - Architect and build scalable data pipelines and workflows to support analytics and ML initiatives.- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across diverse data sources.- Collaborate with engineering teams on data storage, processing, and architecture best practices.- Utilize AWS services (S3, EC2, Lambda, SageMaker) for cloud-native ML deployments.- Ensure cost optimization and efficient use of cloud infrastructure.Business & Domain Alignment : - Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.- Understand key supply chain and manufacturing metrics to frame problems effectively.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions deliver measurable business impact.- Leverage SAP knowledge (modules like MM, PP, SD) to integrate domain context into data models.- Contribute to solution architecture discussions and lead technical decision-making.What You Bring : - Strong proficiency in Python (data analysis, ML, automation).- Deep expertise in time series forecasting & demand prediction.- Solid understanding and hands-on use of advanced ML algorithms.- Proven experience in data architecture, solution design, and ML lifecycle management.- Hands-on expertise with Databricks (ML & Spark) and AWS cloud services.- Experience as a Data Architect, Solution Architect, or Senior Data Engineer with architectural responsibilities.- Background in product-based companies or data-focused startups is highly valued.- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.Preferred Skills : - Familiarity with CI/CD for ML models.- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming solutions.- Knowledge of supply chain/manufacturing analytics use cases.- Exposure to MLOps practices for scalable deployment and monitoring.
