Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Windows Server Administrator with L3 support expertise to join our dynamic infrastructure team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of our core Windows server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

This role requires a proactive approach to system management, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various Required : 7+ : Hyderabad / Pune / Bangalore (Local candidates Skills :

- IT Security Standards & Compliance

- Infrastructure Change Responsibilities :

Infrastructure Design & Implementation :

- Responsible for the comprehensive design, implementation, and ongoing support of core Windows server infrastructure within the corporate environment.

- Lead initiatives related to Active Directory, DNS, Certificate Services, and AD FS, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.

- Conduct initial assessments, implement, and thoroughly document all infrastructure changes, adhering to best practices and organizational Administration & Support :

- Directly install and configure Windows servers, working extensively with network protocols and services including Windows Server 2008/12 (and later versions), TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.

- Provide L3 support for complex issues related to Windows Server and Virtualization Infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues pertaining to legacy Linux, Windows, and ESX server operating systems and related components.

- Manage production support issues from inception to resolution, coordinating with relevant teams and communicating status updates & Compliance :

- Execute a planned program for virus updates, patch management, and service pack deployment, which includes meticulous testing, staging, and comprehensive documentation.

- Ensure adherence to established departmental security standards across all managed server environments.

- Contribute to audit and compliance activities related to server hardware and software & Communication :

- Take ownership of the Active Directory design, ensuring its efficiency, security, and alignment with business requirements.

- Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, management, internal stakeholders, infrastructure teams, and interface groups throughout the project lifecycle and during support operations.

- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Windows Server Administration with a strong focus on L3 support.

- Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting Active Directory, DNS, Certificate Services, and AD FS.

- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2008/2012 onwards) and related network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP).

- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex server and OS issues across Windows, Linux, and ESX environments.

- Experience with patch management, security updates, and antivirus deployment strategies.

- Familiarity with IT audit and compliance Attributes- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

- Certifications such as MCSA/MCSE are a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
