Experience on OpenText Exstream System Administration

• Experience on OpenText Exstream Communications Processing using Communications Server

• Experience on OpenText Exstream Admin Communications Server System Administration

• Able to install and configure Exstream product components to work at peak performance

• Able to install and configure OpenText Directory services to work with Exstream

• Able to create and manage design databases

• Able to configure customer organization in Exstream

• Able to configure Exstream to produce customer communications

• Able to enforce design consistency

• Able to setup design workflows

• Able to design for multiple languages and locations

• Able to customize the environment for interactive documents

• Able to review the different options for high volume production

• Able to implement output queues to support inserters, banners and breaks

• Able to implement output objects to manage fonts and colors

• Able to design and implement barcodes

• Able to implement inserter objects to support barcode areas, carrier envelope areas

• Able to create banner pages

• Able to implement sorting and bundling

• Able to export and deploy Projects

• Able to create project package releases

• Able to use Exstream Communications Orchestrator to create flow models for customer communications management processes

• Able to create projects and manage their lifecycle from design to production

• Able to design multi-tenant architecture

• Able to install and apply hotfixes

• Able to configure high availability configurations

• Knowledge on Exstream product architecture

• Knowledge on docker and Helm charts and usage related to Exstream

• Knowledge on ingress controller and usage related to Exstream

• Knowledge on Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL/Oracle/MS SQL) and usage related to Exstream

• Configure and use file storage (EBS, EFS, NFS)

• Knowledge on Kubernetes to implement and support Exstream Cloud Native installations

• Knowledge on Amazon EKS/Azure AKS/Google GKE to support Exstream Cloud Native implementations

• Exstream architecture knowledge including Cloud Native edition (21.4 or older versions) and Server based (21.3 or older versions). Knowledge and expertise in latest 3 versions preferable.

• Extensive knowledge on Exstream Administration

• Analytical skills to handle any support issues related to Exstream setup.

• Must be able to work independently as well as demonstrate team work to deliver on time deliverables.

Additional Skills:


§ Configure input channels (Web services, cloud, sftp, etc)

§ Configure output channels (SMS/Email/printing, etc)

§ Configure connectors with content management repositories

§ Ability to write automation scripts (ex: Ansible) required for installing/upgrading/managing Exstream platform


Optional:

§ Exstream Administration Certification

§ Exstream Communications Server Administrator Certification

§ DevOps skills using Bitbucket Pipeline and Jenkins for CI/CD

§ A strong hands-on administration experience with customer facing skills.

§ Adhere to company and project standards and guidelines.

§ Quality, on time delivery of agreed deliverables

§ Thoroughly understand the Requirements and Design

§ Where necessary, work on problem & change tickets as per the requirements and detailed design using the best practices and operation standards

§ Coordinate with product vendors to resolve any issues seen in product setup

§ Escalate any risks and issues as and when they are identified, to the project / program management team

§ Work diligently towards better relationship with the customer

§ Ability to create instructions /operations manual and staying on the job until it is finished

§ Willingness to be accountable, courtesy, reliability, flexibility, cooperation and adaptability.

§ Take initiative, ability to take responsibility.
