About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced AWS Big Data Lead Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable data solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in Big Data technologies, cloud-native architecture, and leadership to guide engineering teams in delivering enterprise-grade data pipelines and analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the development of end-to-end Big Data solutions on AWS.

- Design, implement, and optimize data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming pipelines.

- Build ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and real-time data processing.

- Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of data platforms.

- Collaborate with architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Big Data engineers.

- Implement data governance, monitoring, and best practices for data management.

- Evaluate and integrate emerging Big Data and AWS technologies.

Mandatory Skills :

- AWS Services : S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Athena, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB.

- Big Data Frameworks : Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka.

- Programming & Scripting : Python, SQL, Java/Scala.

- Data Engineering : Data lake & warehouse design, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, metadata management.

- Security & Compliance : IAM, encryption, VPC, GDPR/HIPAA knowledge.

- Strong solution design, architecture, and system integration experience.

- Leadership Skills : Team mentoring and stakeholder communication.
