Position Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced EHR Application Analyst to conceptualize and build the EHR integration strategy for our clinical decision support software. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with diagnostic order management, setting up EHR workflows for new order types, order transmittal to third-party systems, and order result write-back into EHR systems. Knowledge of methods and configurations for facilitating reimbursements within EHR systems is essential. Experience with popular EHR systems like Epic and Cerner is highly desirable


Key Responsibilities:


EHR Integration Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the requirements for clinical decision support software integration with the EHR system
  • Develop a comprehensive EHR integration strategy, including the conceptualization of workflows and data flo
  • ws.Identify and recommend best practices for EHR integration and ensure alignment with industry standards and regulations


Order Management:

  • Set up prescriptive methods/work instructions for setting up EHR workflows for new order types, ensuring seamless integration with third-party systems
  • Facilitate the transmittal of orders to third-party systems and ensure accurate and timely order result write-back into the EHR.


Reimbursement Facilitation:

  • Configure EHR systems to support the reimbursement processes for diagnostic orders and other services.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards for reimbursement
  • Work with finance and billing teams to streamline reimbursement workflows.


Technical Implementation and Support:

  • Provide technical expertise and support for the integration of clinical decision support software with EHR systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal disruption to clinical workflows.
  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure successful integration and functionality.


Project Management:

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables for EHR integration projects.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Provide regular updates and status reports to project teams and leadership.


Training and Documentation:

  • Develop training materials and provide training sessions for end-users and technical Staff.
  • Create comprehensive documentation and customer-facing documentation for EHR integration processes, workflows, and configurations.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer and support ongoing maintenance and updates.


Qualification:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHR integration, with a focus on order management and clinical decision support system integration.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with EHR systems, particularly Epic and Cerner. Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare interoperability standards.
  • Certifications: Certification in relevant EHR systems (e.g., Epic Certification) is preferred.
