About the Role
As a Senior Analyst in Line 1 Risk, you will play a pivotal role in supporting BOQ Business Bank’s operational risk management activities. You will be responsible for delivering pragmatic risk advice and supporting the implementation of BOQ Group’s Risk Management Strategy and standards. This includes proactive engagement with business units to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support key Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) and Control Management Framework (CMF) activities across Business Bank, including: Issues and Incidents Management : Conduct preliminary assessments, assign ownership, and support resolution in line with BOQ’s escalation protocols/Issues Management Standard. Controls Management : Assist in the design, implementation, and monitoring of controls to strengthen the control environment. Proactive Risk Advisory : Provide timely and practical risk advice to business stakeholders, aligned with BOQ’s risk appetite and strategic objectives. Collaborate with Group Risk and Compliance (Line 2) and Internal Audit (Line 3) to ensure risk practices are consistent and effective Support the business in embedding a proactive risk culture and continuous improvement mindset Contribute to risk profiling workshops and CPS readiness activities, including mapping critical operations and refreshing controls.About you
You bring a good understanding of operational risk principles, ideally within a banking or financial services environment. You’re comfortable navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and can translate risk concepts into actionable business insights. You are a future-minded risk professional, and experiences/skills in Microsoft co-pilot, data analytics or process automation will be highly regarded for this role.
