Position Overview: We are seeking an innovative and strategic Director of Artificial Intelligence to lead our AI initiatives and drive the integration of AI and GENAI technologies across the organization. This role will be responsible for developing and executing our AI strategy, evaluating and implementing world class robust, scalable AI platforms, building and implementing AI models, and fostering a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with business objectives and market trends.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging AI to enhance apps, services, and operational efficiencies.


Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing AI team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Oversee resource allocation, project management, and performance evaluation within the AI team.


AI Platform and Program Management:

  • Evaluate and implement robust & scalable AI platforms and maintain them
  • Drive the design, development, and deployment of AI and GENAI models and solutions that meet business needs.
  • Manage the entire AI and GENAI project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and adherence to budget.


Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including functional teams, infra and apps teams and business units, to understand their AI needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Communicate AI concepts, project updates, and results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Research & Innovation:

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI and GENAI technologies and methodologies; evaluate and integrate new tools and techniques into existing apps.
  • Encourage a culture of experimentation and innovation, promoting the exploration of new AI applications and use cases.


Ethics & Compliance:

  • Ensure that AI initiatives comply with relevant regulations and ethical standards.
  • Develop and implement guidelines for responsible AI usage, including transparency, fairness, and accountability.


Performance Measurement:

  • Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of AI projects on business outcomes.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of AI initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field; Master’s degree or PhD preferred.


Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering AI projects in a complex business environment.


Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of AI and machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI (e.g., Python, R, Java).


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for innovation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
