Senior Node.js Developer with GraphQL

We're seeking an experienced Senior Node.js Developer who can architect and build scalable applications using GraphQL, while bringing strong DevOps capabilities to our engineering team. The ideal candidate will help drive technical decisions and mentor other developers while maintaining our high standards for code quality and system reliability. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable Node.js applications using modern architectural patterns and best practices Lead the implementation and optimization of GraphQL APIs, including schema design and performance tuning Manage and improve our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and deliver robust solutions Monitor system health, implement logging and alerting, and respond to production incidents Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain code quality Participate in architectural decisions and technical planning sessions Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of professional experience with Node.js in production environments Deep understanding of GraphQL, including schema design, resolvers, and performance optimization Strong experience with DevOps practices, including: Container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker) Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) CI/CD pipeline design and implementation Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) Proven track record of building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems Strong understanding of database technologies (both SQL and NoSQL) Proficiency in monitoring, logging, and observability tools Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development practices Preferred Qualifications Experience with TypeScript and strong typing practices Knowledge of message queuing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools Experience with automated testing frameworks and TDD Contributions to open-source projects Experience mentoring other developers Strong communication and documentation skills What We Offer Opportunity to work on challenging, large-scale applications Competitive salary and benefits package Professional development opportunities Remote-friendly work environment Modern tech stack and tools Collaborative team culture focused on learning and growth Impact & Growth In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape our technical architecture, implement best practices, and drive innovation while working on systems that serve millions of users.
