Role: Capital Market Associate
About the role:
As a Capital Market Associate, you will initially be responsible for repricing loans, managing and reconciling key data points, and developing familiarity with our clients diverse lending products. Your responsibilities will grow overtime as you gain competence in the role. You will play a critical role in maintaining pricing competitiveness, data integrity, and ensuring loans conform to guidelines and profitability standards.
Job Description:
- Structure and price loans using various bespoke pricing models.
- Review loan submissions / applications to ensure ensure conformity to guidelines, note buyer requirements, product standards, and profitability targets.
- Reprice loans based on market conditions and funding strategies to maintain competitive edge.
- Accurately input, maintain and reconcile key data points across capital markets and loan operations.
- Update pricing models to reflect the latest market data, product changes, and internal requirements.
- Attain mastery of our clients' lending programs, its features and various factors impacting pricing while ensuring alignment with underwriting and sales teams on pricing structures.
- Conduct regular data audits to ensure accuracy and proactively resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor industry trends and present market developments and its impact on pricing competitiveness to the capital markets team.
- Assist in generating periodic reports for management, including loan pricing, portfolio performance, and market analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting, operations, and sales, to ensure consistent application of pricing and product information.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative disciplines (Math, Finance, Economics), Engineering or Hard Sciences.
- 2-4 years of experience in capital markets, loan operations, or financial services, with a focus on data management, analytics and/or pricing.
- Strong understanding of fixed income products and valuation (i.e. bond math) with experience in loan pricing and screening for guideline conformity a plus.
- Strong analytical and financial data reconciliation skills with superb attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Excel is required (i.e. pivot tables, formulas).
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, working both independently and as part of a team.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and an insatiable desire to learn about various lending products and market dynamics.
Preferred Candidates:
- Master's Degree in Quantitative Discipline, FRM or CFA designation are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of any specific market (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives).
- Familiarity with Fixed Income risk measures such as Duration, Convexity or Option valuation theory are highly preferred.
- Advanced Excel and Financial modelling skills (i.e. complex formulas, pivot tables, VBA).
Working Hours: 06:30 PM - 03:30 AM (IST)
Week Offs: Saturday and Sunday
