The role is hardware-first with scope toown selective firmware modulesbased on your skills. You’ll work closely with firmware, validation, manufacturing, and QA teams to deliver robust, field-ready products.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, design, and reviewanalog, digital, and power-supplycircuits for embedded systems. Ownschematic capture and PCB layout(review/guide layout engineers); drive DFM/DFT and release to manufacturing. Component selection, validation, and lifecycle management(alternates, obsolescence planning, supply risk). Build & bring-up prototypes; performHW validation and characterization(bench + environmental). Debug and root-cause analysisfor proto/field issues; drive corrective actions and reliability improvements. Collaborate with firmware to ensureclean HW/SW interfaces(boot, power sequencing, clocks, reset, IO protection). Ensure compliance toelectrical, safety, and EMC/EMIrequirements; coordinate pre-compliance and certification testing. Create and maintaindesign documentation: requirements, block diagrams, schematics, BoMs, test plans/reports, ER/ECNs. Support NPI throughpilot builds, test fixture inputs, and manufacturing handover.Required Skills & Experience5+ yearshands-on embedded hardware design and testing. Strongmixed-signaldesign fundamentals (sensor front-ends, filters, op-amps, ADC/DAC interfacing). Proficiency withschematic & PCB tools(Altium/KiCad/Eagle) and version/BOM control. Power design: DC/DC converters (buck/boost/flyback), LDOs, power sequencing, battery/charging basics. Practical experience withEMC/EMI & surge/ESD/EFTmitigation (TVS, snubbers, common-mode chokes, grounding, creepage/clearance). Confidence with lab equipment:oscilloscope, DMM, PSU, electronic load, logic analyzer, etc. Working knowledge ofEmbedded Cto collaborate with firmware (bootloaders, drivers, bring-up). Strong documentation, ownership, and cross-functional communication.Nice to Have (Preferred)Domain experience inpower/energy, genset controllers, protection relays, or industrial/telecom automation. Interfaces:RS-485/Modbus, CAN, Ethernet/PHY, I²C/SPI, UART, isolated comms. High-accuracy measurement:CT/PT interfacing, shunts, isolation amps, precision references, calibration. Reliability & safety:DFMEA, HALT/HASS basics; familiarity withIEC/IS standardsrelevant to power & protection. Experience taking designs throughpre-compliancefor IEC 61000-4-2/-4/-5, surge and ESD protection strategies.
