We are seeking a skilled Athena Superuser to join our dynamic team and support our clients in the implementation, customization, and optimization of the AthenaHealth platform.


Position Overview:

As an Athena Superuser, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing AthenaHealth’s EHR and practice management system for our clients. You will work closely with IT, clinical, and administrative teams to ensure seamless system performance, user support, and effective troubleshooting.


Additionally, you will train Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and other clinical staff on how to effectively use the AthenaHealth system in their daily practice. This is a remote position, and you will have the opportunity to work with various healthcare organizations to improve their operational efficiency and patient care through effective system utilization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for AthenaHealth’s EHR system.
  • Provide expert-level support to clients and internal teams in the day-to-day operation of AthenaHealth.
  • Manage and execute system configurations, updates, and customizations to meet client needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the AthenaHealth platform.
  • Train and mentor Nurse Practitioners and other healthcare staff on AthenaHealth best practices.
  • Collaborate with various departments (clinical, IT, administrative) to integrate AthenaHealth with other systems and ensure workflows are optimized.
  • Monitor system performance and usage, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist with reporting and analytics using AthenaHealth's tools and third-party integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and security standards within the AthenaHealth system.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with AthenaHealth’s EHR system as a Superuser, Administrator, or Implementation Specialist.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Experience with data reporting, analytics, and system optimization within AthenaHealth.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain deadlines.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, HIPAA compliance, and security standards.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or formal training in AthenaHealth products (e.g., AthenaSuperUser or Athena Certified Trainer).
  • Experience in a healthcare IT support role.
  • Experience working in a remote team environment.
