Role : FinOps Analyst

Location : Chennai, Bengaluru, WFO

Experience : 4 - 6 Years

Position Overview :

The Cloud Optimization Specialist will be an integral part of the Cloud Architecture team, focusing on leveraging cloud computing to achieve financial efficiency and operational excellence.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, financial acumen, and project management skills to ensure the company maximizes its cloud investments while supporting scalability and innovation.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Cloud Financial Management: Implement and manage financial governance
  • across large AWS accounts. Utilize AWS cost management tools to monitor,
  • analyze, and optimize costs in alignment with the organization's budget and financial goals.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform to automate and manage cloud
  • infrastructure, ensuring cost-effective scaling and compliance with Excellence: Leverage ServiceNow and Jira to streamline cloud
  • operations processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing waste. Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate financial optimization principles into daily operations.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Use advanced Excel skills to analyze cloud
  • expenditure data, prepare reports, and present insights to stakeholders. Develop and maintain dashboards that provide real-time visibility into cloud spending.
  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with the Senior Director of Cloud Architecture and cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud optimization strategies that support the company's growth and innovation objectives.
  • Cost Optimization Projects: Lead initiatives focused on reducing cloud spend,
  • such as reserved instance purchasing, identifying underutilized resources, and negotiating contracts with cloud service providers.
  • Training and Advocacy: Promote a culture of cost awareness and efficiency.
  • Provide training and resources to teams on best practices for cloud Qualifications :
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related field.
    • 6+ years of commercial experience.
    • 3+ years of experience in cloud financial management, specifically with AWS.
    • Proficiency in AWS services, Terraform, Excel, ServiceNow, and Jira.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    Preferred Qualifications :
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
    • Experience in a FinOps capacity or similar role focused on cloud Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
    • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automating tasks and
    • analyzing data.
