Senior Automotive Embedded Software Architect

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Automotive Embedded Software Architect to lead the design, development, and delivery of embedded software solutions in the automotive domain. This role requires deep expertise in system and software architecture, software engineering practices, safety and security compliance, and a solid grasp of ASPICE processes.


As a key member of the development team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions aligned with industry standards.


Key Responsibilities :


- Lead the architecture and design of embedded software for automotive systems


- Define software and system architecture, ensuring alignment with project and product requirements


- Oversee full software development life cycle activities - from requirements analysis to integration and validation


- Guide teams in applying best practices in software engineering, coding standards, and documentation


- Ensure adherence to functional safety (ISO 26262) and security guidelines throughout the development process


- Participate in and guide ASPICE compliance activities, including process definitions, assessments, and improvements


- Collaborate with hardware, systems, and validation teams to ensure effective system integration


- Define and maintain software development infrastructure, tools, and methods


- Ensure quality through implementation of metrics, continuous integration, and code reviews


- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in system and software architecture


Required Skills and Qualifications :


- 10 - 15 years of hands-on experience in automotive system and software development


- Proven experience in embedded software development and architectural design


- In-depth understanding of software engineering principles and lifecycle methodologies


- Strong knowledge of system development and validation in automotive environments


- Solid experience with software safety, cybersecurity, and ASPICE process implementation


- Familiarity with quality processes, project metrics, and defect tracking systems


- Experience with tools like Enterprise Architect, PTC Integrity, DOORS, JIRA, etc.


- Knowledge of C/C++, AUTOSAR, RTOS, and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) is

desirable


- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills


- Certification in Automotive SPICE, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), or similar domains


- Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers


- Exposure to Model-Based Design and tools like MATLAB/Simulink


- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
