We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer (Lead) with 10+ years of experience to drive test automation excellence across our organization. This role demands a self-sufficient professional who can operate effectively as an individual contributor while providing technical leadership and mentor ship when required.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership & Execution :


- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and BDD methodologies

- Implement comprehensive test automation solutions across web applications, APIs, and databases

- Lead code reviews, optimize existing automation scripts, and enforce best coding practices

- Troubleshoot complex technical issues independently with minimal guidance

- Adapt quickly to emerging technologies and client-specific tool requirements

Quality Assurance & Testing :


- Execute functional and automated API testing using Rest Assured and other industry-standard tools

- Perform data manipulation and validation across multiple formats (JSON, XML, Excel, Word)


- Conduct thorough database testing using SQL/MySQL with complex query optimization

- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines through Jenkins and GitHub Actions

- Maintain test traceability and reporting using Jira, XRAY, and ZEPHYR

Project & Process Management :


- Proactively communicate task status, completion updates, and resource requirements

- Manage timesheet accuracy and support invoicing processes

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards

- Drive process improvements and automation strategy alignment with business objectives

Mentorship & Team Development :


- Guide junior engineers and freshers in automation best practices and technical skills

- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and create technical documentation

- Foster a culture of continuous learning and quality-first approach

Required Technical Skills :

Core Automation Stack :


- Programming : Java (10+ years' experience)

- Automation Tools : Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, Serenity

- Build Tools : Maven

- Version Control : Git

- CI/CD : Jenkins pipeline configuration and management along with AWS intricacies to handle Secrets Manager usage and cloud reporting to S3 bucket.

- Cloud : Lambda Tests and GitHub Actions (On Cloud Test Execution Tool)

Testing Expertise :


- API Testing : Rest Assured, Postman, functional and automation testing

- Data Handling : JSON/XML parsing and manipulation, Excel/Word processing

- Database : SQL/MySQL query writing and optimization

- Test Management : Jira, XRAY, ZEPHYR integration and workflow management

Development Environment :


- IDEs : Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA


- Methodologies : BDD, Agile, Test-Driven Development

- Quality Practices : Code review, refactoring, design patterns

Essential Qualifications :


- Minimum 10 years in test automation and software quality assurance

- Proven track record in enterprise-level automation framework development

- Extensive experience with end-to-end testing across web, API, and database layers

- Demonstrated success in both individual contributor and team leadership roles
