Position Overview:We are currently looking for a seasoned Economic Urban Planner to join our dynamic team. This is a strategic role on a high-impact urban development project in Mumbai.As an Economic Urban Planner, you will play a key role in shaping the economic and infrastructural future of one of Indias most vital metropolitan areas. If you are passionate about city planning, policy-making, and sustainable urban growth, this opportunity is for you.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement economic and urban planning strategies tailored to the needs of metropolitan areas, with a particular focus on Mumbai.- Provide expert advisory support to government stakeholders on infrastructure planning, land use, urban governance, and economic development.- Work closely with public institutions to design and execute evidence-based urban development policies and frameworks.- Conduct detailed research, feasibility studies, and socio-economic impact assessments for planned development initiatives.- Engage with local bodies, regulators, and community stakeholders to ensure urban planning proposals are inclusive, sustainable, and actionable.Must-Have Experience:- Proven experience in urban planning, economic development, or advisory/planning roles related to city infrastructure and policy.- Strong background in public policy development and implementation, particularly in urban contexts.- Demonstrated success in leading or contributing to urban development projects across sectors such as housing, transportation, sanitation, or economic zones.- Hands-on experience in government advisory, working with municipal bodies, state or central government agencies on urban strategy, planning, or regulatory matters.Preferred Qualifications & Skills:- Graduate degree in Urban Planning, Economics, Public Policy, Urban Design, or a related discipline.- Familiarity with tools and software such as GIS, data analysis platforms, or urban modeling is a plus.- Prior experience in Maharashtra or fluency in Marathi would be an added advantage.
