Job Description: QA Engineer (Automation Testing)

Experience: 4-6 years | Type: Full-Time


Role Overview

We are seeking a QA Engineer with a thorough understanding of the QA lifecycle, expertise in UI and API automation testing, and proficiency in Java. The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, a solid grasp of authentication flows, and a proactive attitude. Experience with the latest tools like RestAssured, Selenium, Postman, and team management, is highly valued.


Key Responsibilities

  • Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web UI and APIs using tools like Selenium, RestAssured, and Postman.
  • Manual and API Testing: Perform detailed manual testing and automated API validation using RESTful protocols to ensure robust functionality.
  • QA Lifecycle Management: Lead the end-to-end QA process, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Authentication Testing: Validate authentication flows on the browser side to ensure secure and seamless user experiences.
  • Collaboration: Work with development teams to debug and resolve issues, providing detailed defect reports and insights.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor junior QA team members, fostering knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Problem Solving: Apply critical thinking to identify, analyze, and solve issues efficiently, ensuring product quality.
  • Tools Utilization: Leverage modern testing tools and frameworks like Selenium, RestAssured, Postman, and TestNG for improved efficiency.


Required Skills

  • Experience: 4-6 years in QA with a strong focus on UI and API testing.
  • Automation Expertise: Proficiency in Selenium, RestAssured, and Postman for automated testing.
  • Programming Knowledge: Solid understanding of Java for creating and managing test scripts.
  • RESTful API Protocols: Comprehensive knowledge of REST APIs for testing and validation.
  • Authentication Flows: Hands-on experience testing browser-side authentication flows.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills to debug and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Team Management: Proven experience in managing QA teams and leading testing initiatives.


Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
  • Exposure to security testing and fintech regulatory compliance.
