We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic team developing high-quality slot games. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing our database infrastructure to support game production and delivery. You will ensure that our development and production databases are stable, high-performing, and scalable.The ideal candidate has strong experience with AWS, MongoDB, and ProductionDB management, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where reliability, performance, and attention to detail are critical. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and QA engineers to ensure our databases support seamless game operations.Key Responsibilities:- Database Management: Administer, maintain, and optimize MongoDB databases used for game production and staging environments. - Infrastructure in AWS: Manage databases hosted on AWS, including RDS, EC2, and related services, ensuring scalability and security. - Performance Optimization: Monitor database performance, optimize queries, indexes, and schemas for low latency and high availability. - Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard production data. - Automation: Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline database deployments, migrations, and monitoring. - Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA, and DevOps to support application needs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize database performance. - Security & Compliance: Ensure database security, manage access controls, and maintain compliance with internal and external standards. - Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve database-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain smooth game operations.Requirements:- Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) or similar role - Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB and ProductionDB environments - Experience with AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch - Knowledge of database replication, sharding, and high-availability setups - Good scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks - Experience with database backup, recovery, and monitoring tools - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teamsNice To Have:- Experience in the gaming industry, especially slot or casino games - Knowledge of other databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis) - Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for database deployment - Interest in gaming and slot game production processesWhat We Offer:- Fully remote work with a flexible schedule - Competitive compensation - Opportunity to work on high-performance, large-scale slot games - Collaborative international team passionate about gaming and innovation - Professional growth and ongoing learning opportunities
