Position Qverview: 

The Manager QC must have very good knowledge in all foundry process and experience in Green and Furan molding methods, SG and Grey iron manufacturing according to the global and customer specific standards. Capable of creating a system across the organization to ensure processes are carried out in controlled condition.


Qualifications: 

Education: Bachelor degree in Metallurgical Engineering.

Experience: 10-15 years of experience in quality department


Skills:

1.Experience in SG and Grey iron, all foundry process

2.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

3.Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel,). 

4.Ability to achieve mechanical properties according to the grade and casting profile.

5.Familiarity with quality management systems and ISO standards.

6. Foundry Defects and Remedies knowledge and application

Key Responsibilities :

Metlab controls:

·       Ensuring all Grey (FG150-300 grades), SG(400/18 to 700/2 grades), SiMo, Ni-resist produced and meeting as per requirements 

·       Establishing and approving process parameters for new parts to meet mechanical properties.

·       Good experience in all Mechanical testing including UTS, Impact and Hardness testing, Chemical analysis including spectrum and wet analysis, Micro structural analysis, Sand testing etc.

·       Inspection and approval of various incoming raw materials and process materials.

·       Responsible for issuing Heat treatment cycles & clearance of castings after verification of metallurgical parameters.

·       Auditing heat treatment supplier as per plan.

·       Ensuring first time right on Metallurgical property achievement

Process controls:

·       Ensuring all the processes are carried out without any deviations

·       Ensuring all sand properties are controlled within the specification all time.

·       Responsible for root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for foundry related defects in daily production.

·       Preparing weekly and monthly rejection review meeting

Workplace controls :

·       5S implementation in the respective Department.

·       Effective safety practices and good housekeeping to achieve zero accident in department

Customer complaint handling in shopfloor:

·       Maintaining zero customer complaints related to Metallurgy.

·       Ensuring corrective action are taken on a timely manner in coordination with responsible team members.

·       Ensuring effective implementation of corrective/preventive action before producing the parts

Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

·       Effective participation in all trials, improvement taken place.

Quality Management:

·       Support the maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
