We are a strategic venture ecosystem committed to launching 10+ tech-driven businesses, and as an Engineering Lead, you will play a foundational role in building, scaling, and driving engineering excellence across our ventures.About the Role The Engineering Lead at Altellect plays a pivotal role in building the technology backbone across multiple ventures. This leader will architect scalable products, manage engineering execution, and collaborate closely with product, design, and venture leadership to convert zero-to-one ideas into tangible, market-ready solutions.This is a hybrid strategic–technical role: You will code, you will architect, you will lead, and you will shape the engineering culture for an ecosystem building 10+ ventures simultaneously. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves building from scratch, and can balance rapid execution with long-term platform thinking.Key Responsibilities A. Technology Leadership 1. Lead engineering execution for 2–4 ventures simultaneously, from MVP to scalable product. 2. Drive architectural decisions, technology stack selection, and long-term platform planning. 3. Own code quality, performance, security, and scalability.B. Product & Venture Collaboration 1. Work closely with product managers, designers, and venture leads to translate business needs into technical roadmaps. 2. Co-create product requirements, timelines, and release plans. 3. Support founders and venture partners with technical insights, feasibility, and optimizations.C. Team Building & Management 1. Recruit, mentor, and manage high-performing engineering teams (internal + contract + outsourced). 2. Set engineering best practices, coding standards, sprint rituals, and documentation norms. 3. Build a culture of excellence, ownership, and rapid iteration.D. Delivery & Execution 1. Oversee sprint planning, task allocation, and delivery timelines. 2. Optimize engineering velocity across parallel venture teams. 3. Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and QA processes.E. Technical Advisory for Ventures 1. Provide technical due diligence for new venture ideas. 2. Evaluate external vendors / agencies and manage integrations. 3. Ensure all technology decisions align with speed, cost-effectiveness, and innovation goals.What We’re Looking For Experience: 1. 10–15 years in software engineering; 5+ years leading teams 2. Strong stakeholder & cross-functional management experience 3. Hands-on with architecture, SDLC, delivery pipelines 4. Experience in Agile / Scrum / SAFe environments 5. B.Tech / BE / M.Tech / ME in Computer Science or related fieldsTech Expertise: Must-Have: 1. Strong backend proficiency (Node.js / Python / JavaScript) 2. Cloud experience (AWS / Azure / GCP) 3. CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins) 4. Containers & orchestration (Docker / Kubernetes) 5. System design, microservices, API & database architectureGood-to-Have: 1. Frontend (React / Angular / Vue) 2. DevOps tooling (Terraform / Helm) 3.Observability (Grafana / Prometheus / ELK / Datadog) 4. Event-driven architectures (Kafka / RabbitMQ) 5.
