Role : QA : Part-time : Full-timeExp : 20 yrs (13+ years of relevant experience in testing embedded connected products)About the role : The candidate will be part of a Hyderabad-based Design team, working with a dynamic cross-functional global QA team performing systems requirements analysis, and designing and implementing tests for next-generation products. Testing Smart Home Solutions involves hardware, firmware, cloud, and mobile applications.The individual must have the ability to analyze system requirements and develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. The role requires a background in testing firmware, Cloud IoT, mobile applications, and devices/system interaction and troubleshooting. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of the QA process (Analysis, Estimate, Plan, Execute, and Release) and interact frequently with technical program management, local as well as global teams, and customers across different time zones.Key Responsibilities :As a QA Specialist, youll be responsible for : - Leading and mentoring the Test and Validation team with advanced software testing skills and domain knowledge in residential fire safety and security products.- Working on embedded IoT products and collaborating with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues across design centers and manufacturing teams.- Working with product management and system engineering teams to understand product requirements and drive test development and execution.- Developing test plans and monitoring/managing test execution.- Learning and applying project high-level and detailed business requirements.- Developing automation scripts for embedded firmware, mobile, and cloud applications.- Analyzing requirements and designing test strategies, including test : - Advanced to expert knowledge obtained through education and relevant experience, with excellent written and communication skills.- University degree or equivalent and a minimum of 13+ years of relevant experience in testing embedded connected products.- Hands-on experience validating RS-232/485, network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.), and wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, Sub-GHz, and Bluetooth.- Hands-on development knowledge in C, C#, Java, API Testing, and PyTest frameworks (or any programming language).- Strong expertise in end-to-end test methods for embedded IoT products, system-level testing, and product lifecycle testing methods.- Proficiency in automation tools such as Jenkins and CI/CD tools.- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Python and automation frameworks (e.g., TDD, BDD).- Working knowledge of Git and JIRA.What We Offer :- A great place to work that attracts, develops, and retains top talent.- A collaborative environment that promotes employee engagement, teamwork, and innovation.- A culture of diversity and inclusion that fosters belonging and growth.- Opportunities for professional development and career enrichment.
