Immediate opportunity for - Data Governance AnalystJob Description – Data Governance AnalystLocation: Pune.Salary: 25Lacs.Notice: Immediate to 15 days.Industry: Banking / Financial ServicesRole OverviewThe Data Governance Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the Bank’s data is robust, accurate, consistent, and fully compliant with internal Policies and Standards. The role supports the implementation of the Data Governance Framework, establishes business definitions, sets and monitors data quality standards, and identifies strategic remediation activities to improve overall data integrity.Data is a core asset for our client, entrusted by customers and used across the Bank for operational, customer, management and analytical purposes. Ensuring its accuracy, completeness and usability is critical. The Data Governance team safeguards this asset by ensuring data is reliable, understood, useful and trusted.Working closely with the Head of Data Governance, Data Governance Lead, Data Management Analysts, Data Specialists, and Subject Matter Experts across the Bank, the Data Governance Analyst will design, embed and monitor Privacy by Design, enhancing GDPR maturity and ensuring data privacy is integrated into BAU processes. The role also ensures that architectural solution designs align with data policies and standards and maintains coherence between data models, technical flows, business processes, and operational data lifecycle tasks to support strong impact analysis capabilities.The Data Governance Analyst will represent the organisation’s core values – being deeply invested, doing the right thing, staying curious, building trust, valuing diversity and driving strong customer experiences.Key Accountabilities1. GDPR & Privacy Compliance- Act as SME and custodian of the OneTrust Privacy Hub. - Support continuous improvement in data privacy and personal data protection. - Embed and monitor Privacy by Design across new and existing processes.2. Metadata Management- Support creation and maintenance of the Data Body of Knowledge (BOK). - Define and maintain metadata models aligned with architectural data models. - Advocate and support metadata standards across business and technology teams.3. Data Quality Management- Define Key Quality Indicators (KQIs) for critical data. - Support Data Management Analysts in the implementation and reporting of KQIs. - Contribute to periodic data quality reporting and remediation tracking.4. Governance Documentation & Awareness- Support development of Training & Awareness materials. - Document Standard Operating Procedures, Business Processes, Policies and Standards.5. Project & Transformation Support- Act as data governance SME in data transformation initiatives. - Review solution designs to ensure alignment with data governance standards.6. Data Governance Working Group- Support creation of KPIs and relevant materials for the Governance Forum.Key Deliverables & ArtefactsOwnership or contribution to:- Policies and Procedures - Information Asset Registers - Data Quality Measurement Models - Information Retention Schedules - Master Data Management (MDM) Models (hierarchy, survivorship) - Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) - Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIA) - Information Classification Framework - Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Processes - Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) - Data Risk Management ArtefactsExperience & Skills RequiredTechnical & Functional- Strong working knowledge of GDPR and data privacy principles. - Proven experience in Data Governance / Data Management roles. - Understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements in a regulated environment. - Knowledge of data quality measurement, data reconciliation, and remediation. - Understanding of Reference Data, Data Dictionaries, Business Glossaries, and architectural data models. - Experience supporting or managing MDM models and metadata frameworks.Cross-Functional & Leadership- Experience building relationships across Audit, Compliance, Finance, Enterprise Security and Technology. - Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across the organisation. - Familiarity with project management methodologies and applying governance within them. - Demonstrated ability in driving transformational data initiatives.Analytical & Technical Tools- Data literacy and ability to perform analyses using tools such as Excel. - Understanding of database design concepts. - Prior experience in Financial Services preferred.Mail me your updated profile to kirankumar@livecjobs.comWith Regards,Victor
