Overview:

As an IoT Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the

architecture for Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. You will lead the development of scalable,

secure, and interoperable IoT architectures that support our business objectives and drive

innovation. This role requires a deep understanding of IoT technologies, protocols, and

platforms, as well as the ability to integrate IoT solutions into existing enterprise systems.


Responsibilities:


Architecture Design: Design end-to-end IoT architectures that encompass devices, connectivity,

platforms, applications, and analytics, ensuring scalability, security, and interoperability.

Technology Evaluation: Evaluate IoT technologies, platforms, and protocols, selecting the most

suitable solutions based on business requirements, industry standards, and emerging trends.

Integration: Integrate IoT solutions with existing enterprise systems, such as ERP, CRM, and BI

systems, leveraging standards-based interfaces and APIs.

Data Management: Define data management strategies for IoT solutions, including data

ingestion, storage, processing, and analysis, ensuring compliance with data governance and

privacy regulations.

Security: Develop security architectures and protocols to protect IoT devices, networks, and

data against cyber threats, implementing best practices for authentication, encryption, and

access control.

Interoperability: Design interoperable IoT architectures that enable seamless communication

and integration between heterogeneous devices, platforms, and protocols.

Scalability: Architect scalable IoT solutions that can accommodate growth in the number of

devices, data volume, and user interactions, leveraging cloud-based infrastructure and

horizontal scaling techniques.

Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance of IoT solutions, minimizing latency,

maximizing throughput, and optimizing resource utilization through techniques such as edge

computing and caching.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and certifications relevant

to IoT, such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and IoT Security Guidelines.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management,

engineering, operations, and security, to ensure alignment of IoT architectures with business

goals and objectives.


Requirements:


Education: Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or

related field. Additional certifications in IoT (e.g., IoT Architect Certification) are desirable.

Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in architecting and implementing IoT solutions,

with a proven track record of delivering successful projects in large enterprises.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in IoT technologies and protocols, such as MQTT, CoAP, and LoRaWAN.

Experience with IoT platforms and frameworks, such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, and Google Cloud

IoT.

Knowledge of IoT device management, including provisioning, configuration, and firmware

updates.

Familiarity with edge computing architectures and platforms, such as AWS Greengrass and

Azure IoT Edge.

Understanding of IoT security principles and best practices, including threat modeling and risk

assessment.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical

concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on pragmatic solutions that balance

technical and business considerations.

Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with diverse

stakeholders to achieve common goals.

Leadership qualities, including the ability to influence and inspire teams towards a shared vision

of IoT excellence.
