You will collaborate closely with authors, editors, and other team members to create visually appealing publications that align with our brand and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:  Design and typeset book interiors, covers, and promotional materials using industry- standard software.  Ensure consistency in typography, styles, and visual elements across all publications.  Collaborate with authors and editors to create layouts that enhance readability and aesthetics.  Prepare files for print and digital distribution, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.  Review and proofread typeset materials to identify and correct any typographical, layout, or design errors.  Stay updated on design trends, typography, and digital technologies to continually improve design quality.  Assist in the creation and maintenance of templates for various publication formats.  Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  Provide input on the creative direction of new projects and contribute to brainstorming sessions. Required Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Typography, or a related field.  Proven experience (5 years +) in typesetting and graphic design, preferably within the publishing industry.  Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.  Experience with print and digital publishing and eBook formatting.  Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and print production processes.  Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.  Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.  Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.  A portfolio showcasing previous work and design and typesetting projects. Preferred Qualifications:  Familiarity with print production techniques and vendor communication.  A passion for books and a strong understanding of the publishing industry is highly desirable. Skills:  Strong creative and artistic abilities.  Excellent time management and multitasking skills.  Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.  Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
