Duties and Responsibilities :

Tarutium Global Consulting, through its Centre for Digital Transformation, is dedicated to driving innovation and sustainable growth across our IT and GIS service offerings. We are seeking a talented, motivated, and results-driven professional to join our strategic consulting team as a WebGIS Developer Analyst. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, and contributing to the development and deployment of cutting-edge WebGIS solutions. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful digital transformation strategies for our clients.

Key Roles and Responsibilities :

- Design and develop a WebGIS platform for spatial data hosting, visualization, and sharing

- Provide technical support for WebGIS platforms and related IT systems

- Implement and configure GeoServer / MapServer for OGC-compliant data services (WMS, WFS, WCS, CSW).

- Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of GIS infrastructure

- Develop and maintain backend services using Python/Django (or equivalent frameworks).

- Manage and optimize spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS).

- Develop interactive web maps and dashboards using Leaflet / OpenLayers / MapLibre / Mapbox.

- Integrate metadata catalogue and data discovery tools (e.g., GeoNetwork, CKAN).

- Deploy and maintain the system on Linux servers / Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

- Ensure system security, scalability, and multi-user access control.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions

- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Geoinformatics, or any other discipline relevant to this role from reputed institutes

- At least 5 years experience in designing, developing, and deploying a WebGIS platform

- High personal & professional integrity.

- Team player with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Problem-solving attitude.

- Experience in managing teams and logistics

- Excellent networking and partnership-building skills.

- Good analytical and knowledge management skills, including writing, presentation skills, and documentation.

- Excellent fluency in English.

- Able to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Technical Skills (Essential) :

- Strong programming experience in Python (Django/Flask).

- Experience with GeoServer, MapServer, and OGC standards (WMS, WFS, WCS, CSW).

- Proficiency in PostgreSQL with PostGIS.

- Web development skills : HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Vue/Angular.

- Familiarity with Leaflet, OpenLayers, MapLibre, and Mapbox for web mapping.

- Knowledge of GIS tools and libraries (GDAL/OGR, Fiona, Shapely, PyProj).

- Deployment and system administration on Linux environments.

- Experience with Docker/Docker Compose and version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab).

- API Integration

Other Technical Skills :

- Experience with GeoDjango.

- Knowledge of Celery/Redis for geoprocessing.

- Metadata catalogue tools (GeoNetwork/CKAN).

- Cloud deployment and scaling (AWS/Azure/GCP).

- Security and role-based access management.

- AI Integration
