In this hands-on leadershiprole, you will guide a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in creating high-quality data thatshapes the AI models, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and pedagogical effectiveness. Your work willimpact millions of learners, making this a unique opportunity to drive education throughtechnology at scale.Key Responsibilities:● Team Leadership & Management:○ Define project scope and data creation requirements in collaboration withresearch and engineering teams.○ Efficiently allocate resources, assign tasks, and guide SMEs, fostering acollaborative and high-performance culture.○ Conduct final quality assurance to ensure consistency and adherence to thehighest standards.○ Set clear performance goals, track KPIs for productivity, data quality, and projecttimelines, and provide feedback.○ Onboard and train new SMEs on quality guidelines, tools, and AI fine-tuningmethodologies.● Subject Matter Expertise & Content Strategy:○ Act as the ultimate authority for content accuracy in Math, Physics, Chemistry,and Biology, from foundational concepts to advanced topics.○ Develop, refine, and enforce quality rubrics and style guides for AI responses,ensuring accuracy, clarity, and pedagogical effectiveness.● AI Model Fine-Tuning & Evaluation:○ Collaborate with AI/ML engineering teams to translate subject nuances intoactionable feedback for model improvement.○ Analyze AI model performance in STEM queries, identifying weaknesses orrecurring error patterns and addressing them.○ Design sophisticated evaluation datasets to benchmark AI progress andaccuracy in STEM subjects.● Cross-Functional Collaboration:○ Act as the primary liaison between your subject team and other departments,including Product Management, Engineering, and Analytics.○ Communicate complex STEM-related challenges and requirements clearly tonon-experts and contribute to the AI’s STEM strategy.Required Qualifications & Experience:● Educational Background: A Ph.D. in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or closelyrelated fields is preferred. A Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech) from a premier institution(e.g., IIT, NIT, IISc) with an exceptional academic record is the minimum requirement.● Subject Expertise: In-depth knowledge of your subject, with expertise covering syllabifor competitive exams like JEE Mains & Advanced and majorundergraduate/postgraduate curricula.● Teaching/Academic Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of combined teaching,research, or content development experience, with significant experience in teaching forcompetitive exams (e.g., JEE Mains/Advanced) being a plus.● Leadership Experience: Proven experience (2+ years) in leadership or mentorshiproles, managing teams of academics, content creators, or researchers.● Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with theability to articulate complex concepts simply and effectively.Preferred Qualifications:● Ed-Tech Experience: Experience working in an educational technology company,especially focused on AI-driven learning.● Published Work: A track record of publications in reputable journals or authorship oftextbooks/study materials.● Data-Driven Mindset: Comfort with using data and analytics to evaluate content qualityand model performance.Personal Attributes & Soft Skills:● Meticulous & Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for detail with a commitment to accuracy.● Pedagogical Passion: A deep passion for education and an understanding of whatmakes learning engaging and effective.● Analytical Problem-Solver: Ability to break down complex problems into manageablecomponents and devise effective solutions.● Highly Organized: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.● Collaborative & Adaptable: Excels in team environments and is open to feedback andnew ideas, especially at the intersection of academia and technology.
