Job Overview:


The Associate Design Manager for the One Nykaa Marketing team will lead the creative direction and execution of marketing materials across various platforms, ensuring cohesive and impactful brand representation. This role involves managing a team of designers, collaborating with marketing strategists, and driving innovative design solutions that align with Nykaa's brand identity and marketing objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Team Leadership and Management:

  • Manage and mentor a team of graphic designers, visual designers, and multimedia artists.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.


2. Creative Direction and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement creative strategies for marketing campaigns that align with Nykaa’s brand and marketing goals.
  • Ensure all marketing materials, including digital ads, social media graphics, email templates, and print collateral, are visually appealing and on-brand.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to understand campaign objectives and provide creative solutions.


3. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with marketing managers, content creators, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
  • Present design concepts and ideas to the marketing team and senior management.
  • Facilitate clear communication and documentation of design processes and guidelines.


4. Brand Consistency and Innovation:

  • Ensure consistency in brand visuals and messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and marketing strategies to keep the brand’s visual identity fresh and engaging.
  • Experiment with new design techniques and tools to enhance the creative output.



5. Project Management:

  • Oversee multiple design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
  • Allocate resources effectively and monitor the progress of marketing design projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any design-related issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.


6. Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail in all design work.
  • Conduct regular design reviews and ensure all deliverables meet Nykaa’s quality and brand standards.
  • Maintain a repository of design assets and documentation for future reference and use.



Knowledge and Skill / Qualification Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 6+ years of experience in design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in marketing design across digital and print mediums.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, and prototyping tools like InVision or Marvel.
  • Excellent understanding of branding, typography, color theory, and layout design.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industry.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and experience with email marketing design
