Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Steel Structure Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and drafting 2D and 3D steel structures, particularly for outdoor applications such as shade structures, pergolas, and car shades. This position requires proficiency in design software, strong communication skills, and the ability to develop innovative solutions to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Drafting:
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D designs for steel structures such as shades, pergolas, and car shades.
  • Develop clear and accurate drawings to communicate design concepts to engineering teams, contractors, and clients.
  • Structural Analysis:
  • Perform structural calculations to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with building codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to verify the structural integrity of the designs.
  • Project Collaboration:
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand their needs and deliver custom design solutions.
  • Provide technical support throughout the construction phase to ensure design accuracy and resolve any design-related issues.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all designs meet quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Review designs for adherence to relevant codes and regulations.
  • Presentation and Documentation:
  • Prepare presentations, design proposals, and project documentation.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of design files, drawings, and reports.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in steel structure design, particularly for outdoor applications (shade structures, pergolas, car shades).
  • Strong knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, and construction techniques for steel structures.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or similar tools.
