Position summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer with 3+ years of experience who will be responsible for monitoring and analysis of security incidents within a Security Operations Center (SOC). The role involves identifying and escalating potential threats to ensure a proactive response to cybersecurity issues.


Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor client events for malicious traffic and unusual behavior.
  • Investigate and escalate alerts and malicious traffic to SOC Analysts or Shift Leads for further review.
  • Update and manage signatures for IDS/IPS systems for managed clients.
  • Follow up with SOC Analysts on open tickets and incidents.
  • Liaise with vendors for resolution of open issues.
  • Perform assigned tasks as listed in daily task plans.
  • Administer SIEM tools, including patching and disaster recovery processes.
  • Hands-on experience with IDS/IPS, firewalls, VPNs, and other security products.
  • Proficient in Security Information Event Management (SIEM) tools, including creating basic correlation rules and SIEM administration.
  • Expertise in analyzing TCP/IP network traffic and event logs.
  • Experience working with LogRhythm SIEM tool.
  • Familiarity with ITIL disciplines such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: BE
  • Experience: Required: 3+ years.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Electronics Engineering, or related field. M.C.A. or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the IT security industry, preferably in a SOC or NOC environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCSP, and CEH are required.
