As an Engineer, you will work as part of a global team supported by our business and architecture partners to help us collaboratively develop and deliver industry leading technology solutions that drive lululemon’s business goals.Core Responsibilities:As a Senior Engineer I, you will bring a high level of technical knowledge as well as strong mentoring abilities. You will be counted on as a leader in your technology space as you contribute to all areas of development and operations (pre-production to production). You will work closely with a Technology Manager, using your experience and knowledge to guide a team of Engineers though their day-to-day process, and provide a central escalation point for production concerns. You will be part of an Agile production release team and may perform on-call support functions as needed. As a Senior Engineer I, you would be a primary caretaker of production systems and would maintain a deep understanding of how delivered products are functioning.Are a main contributor in Agile ceremoniesProvide mentorship and facilitate engineering training for a team of EngineersPerform and delegate engineering assignments to ensure production readiness is maintainedConduct research to aid in product troubleshooting and optimization effortsConduct research to guide product development and tools selectionProvide an escalation point and participate in on-call support rotationsActively monitor key metrics and report on trendsParticipate in our Engineering Community of PracticeContribute to engineering automation, management or development of production level systemsContribute to project engineering design and standards verificationPerform reliability monitoring and support as needed to ensure products meet guest expectationsQualifications:Completed Bachelor’s degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Software Architecture preferred; candidates with substantial and relevant industry experience are also eligible8 – 9 years of engineering experienceAbility to learn, understand, and work quickly with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology spaceKnowledge of CI/CD principles and best-practices.Experience developing solutions for retail or eCommerce businesses and other relevant domains such as manufacturing & logistics, supply chain, or corporate shared servicesAbility to assume the leadership/mentorship of EngineersBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience with CICDplatform implementation, managing & building for scale.Experience in architecting the infrastructure provisioning and pipeline as code for CI/CD using various latest tools and technologies.10+ years of experience as leading & working on CICD , cloud , docker & k8s technologiesExperience with CICD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, TravisCI, Jenkins etc.Experience with programming languages i.e Go lang, Java, Ruby, Shell etcExperience in working on Unix/Linus operating systems and managing Databases i.e MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL etc.Understand the domain/area of focus, including customers’ architecture, code, pain points, and roadmap.Apply experience with creating ephemeral environments for distributed testing of microservices architectures. Maintain a product-based,rather than a project-based, mindset, and make predictions based on product lifecycle for sustainability and longevity of the softwaresolutions. Apply comprehension of process/system flows, sequence diagrams, logical/reference architecture, solution architecture,capabilities model, standards, and KPIs.Strong business acumen, communication, and presentation skillsExperience working cross-functionally across multiple teams and departmentsFirm knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)Experience managing multiple streams of work concurrentlyWorking knowledge of agile and/or waterfall methodologiesExperience with project tools such as Jira, ConfluenceUnderstanding of technology infrastructure
