Role Overview
The Supply Chain & Global Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain operations, from daily production planning and demand forecasting to global logistics and last-mile fulfilment. This role requires strong coordination with internal teams, warehouses, logistics partners, and international stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, cost efficiency, and timely delivery across multiple markets including India, US, UK, and Africa.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain & Production Planning
- Develop and execute day-to-day production plans with team aligned with sales forecasts and inventory requirements.
- Collaborate with operations, Production and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of goods, raw materials and packaging.
- Drive supply and forecast planning with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain optimal stock levels.
2. Global Logistics & Distribution
- Manage international logistics operations for B2B and D2C markets (Amazon US/UK, B2B US, UK, Africa, etc.).
- Oversee export documentation, customs compliance, and freight forwarding for global shipments.
- Monitor and manage inventory replacement cycles across warehouses and Amazon FBA.
3. Order Fulfilment & Warehousing
- Supervise daily order fulfilment for D2C and e-commerce channels ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain strong coordination with warehouse teams for smooth inbound and outbound operations.
- Implement best practices in warehouse management, stock reconciliation, and dispatch.
4. Vendor & Partner Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and warehouse vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, evaluate performance, and ensure adherence to SLAs.
5. SOP Development & Cost Optimization
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across supply chain and logistics functions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost, efficiency, and service levels.
- Monitor logistics spend and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
6. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain and logistics team to deliver high performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, process excellence, and continuous learning.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's/master's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
- Min 8 years of experience in supply chain & global logistics management, preferably in FMCG, F&B, or consumer goods.
- Strong knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, and e-commerce logistics (Amazon FBA experience preferred).
- Proven track record in production planning, demand forecasting, and inventory management.
- Hands-on experience with logistics vendor management and cost optimization.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
