Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.

2. Proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or Cloud Security Engineer with hands-on experience in cloud environments (AWS,GCP).

3. Strong understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).

4. Experience with cloud security tools and services such as AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, or Google Cloud Security Command Center.

5. Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and scripting tasks.

6. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).

7. Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, SOC 2, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and propose effective solutions.

9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.

Relevant certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP Certified Security - Specialty is a plus


Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

'1. Collaborate with development and operations teams to design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and applications using DevOps and Agile methodologies.

2. Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and automate security testing, code scanning, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks.

3. Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to provision and configure cloud resources securely.

4. Implement and maintain security controls and configurations for cloud services and environments on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

5. Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and alerts using cloud-native security tools and services.

6. Conduct security assessments, audits, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.

7. Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud environments and applications.

8. Provide security guidance and support to development teams, including threat modeling, secure coding practices, and security architecture reviews.

9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in cloud security and DevSecOps.
