Technical Business Analyst (Contract, 6 Months)

We are hiring for a Technical Business Analyst to join our team on a 6-month contractual, full-time basis. This role offers good monthly pay and flexibility to work across time zones.

About the Role

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will support enterprise data platform (EDP) operations across process improvement, cloud cost management (FinOps), automation, and infrastructure support. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including platform engineering, data engineering, and vendor partners (AWS, Databricks, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze workflows and processes to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Build and manage KPIs, dashboards, and reports for leadership insights.
  • Support FinOps initiatives including cloud cost optimization and vendor management.
  • Contribute to infrastructure operations, resiliency planning, and automation.
  • Assist in lifecycle management of IT platform products (AWS, Databricks, Ataccama, etc.).

Required Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, BI, and cloud operations.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python or R.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud and FinOps practices.
  • Strong skills in data visualization tools (Power BI, Quicksight, etc.).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, IaC, and CI/CD analytics.

Preferred Skills

  • Big data analytics platform experience.
  • Advanced FinOps or cloud cost management knowledge.
  • Utilities/Energy industry experience.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or operational excellence frameworks.
  • AWS / FinOps certifications.
