Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with 5-8 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in automating and managing infrastructure, deploying cloud solutions, and ensuring high availability and scalability of our applications and systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Unix/Linux administration, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate workflows, and ensure the security and performance of our cloud-based infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

- Unix/Linux Administration : Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Unix/Linux systems with a focus on performance tuning and optimization.

- Cloud Infrastructure Management : Manage and deploy applications on public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Ensure seamless integration between applications and infrastructure across public and private cloud environments.

- CI/CD Pipelines : Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins to streamline code delivery and deployment processes.

- Containerization & Orchestration : Use Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration, ensuring efficient and scalable deployments in production environments.

- Automation & Scripting : Develop automation scripts using Python (preferred) or GoLang/Node.js to automate operational tasks and infrastructure management.

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Implement Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code principles.

- Cloud Platform Expertise : Utilize AWS SDK, ECR, EKS, and API Gateway to interact with cloud services and automate infrastructure provisioning.

- Version Control : Work with version control systems like Git, GitHub, Azure Repos, and AWS CodeCommit to manage and track source code changes.

- Messaging & Log Systems : Configure and maintain systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Elasticsearch for messaging, event streaming, and logging.

- Monitoring & Logging: Set up monitoring systems such as Nagios, Zabbix, and CloudWatch to track infrastructure health, system performance, and ensure timely incident resolution.

- Security Best Practices: Apply security measures for cloud environments, ensuring secure access, encryption, and vulnerability management across all systems.

- Deployment Efficiency: Track and optimize the speed and reliability of deployments, reducing deployment failures.

- Automation Impact: Measure the extent of automation implemented and its impact on reducing manual processes and operational overhead.

- Cloud Infrastructure Availability : Ensure high availability and uptime of cloud-hosted infrastructure.

- Incident Resolution Time : Reduce the time taken to resolve production issues, minimizing downtime.

- Security Compliance : Maintain security best practices and resolve vulnerabilities in a timely manner.

- Scalability & Performance : Ensure that cloud infrastructure scales effectively to meet business demands and optimize performance.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5-8 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in automation, cloud infrastructure, and containerization.

- Operating Systems : Advanced knowledge of Unix/Linux systems and administration.

- Cloud Platforms : Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure and/or Oracle services (ECR, EKS, API Gateway, etc.).

- CI/CD Tools : Proficiency in Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools for building and managing automated pipelines.

- Containerization : Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container management and orchestration.

- Infrastructure as Code : Proficient in using Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure as code.

- DevOps certification (preferred)
