Job Summary:

We at Ambuja Neotia are hiring for the position of Civil Quantity Surveyor Engineer. The incumbent will be responsible for managing and controlling the costs and quantities associated with construction projects. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise in AutoCAD (2D and 3D), Microsoft Office, and civil engineering principles to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quantity Takeoff: Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for various construction projects based on AutoCAD drawings and specifications.
  • Cost Management: Monitor project costs, track expenses, and provide accurate cost forecasts. Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage variations.
  • Contract Administration: Assist in the preparation of contract documents, including bill of quantities, and support in the administration of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of project costs, changes, and agreements. Prepare and submit regular reports on cost performance and forecasts.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely cost reporting and cost control.
  • Site Measurement: Conduct site measurements and inspections to verify quantities and ensure that work is being executed as per the specifications and drawings.
  • Compliance: Ensure all cost and quantity activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements, and relevant standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and cost management within the construction or civil engineering industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) for reviewing and preparing drawings, and in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and cost data.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation, quantity takeoffs, and documentation.
