The Head of Debt Syndication is a senior leadership role within Stride Ventures, responsible for leading the syndication process of debt offerings. This individual will develop and manage relationships with lenders, investors, and financial institutions while ensuring successful syndication of loans to support portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will combine deep financial expertise, strong industry connections, and a strategic mindset to drive capital efficiency and enhance the fund's ability to scale its operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Debt Syndication Strategy:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive debt syndication strategy aligned with the venture debt fund's objectives.

- Identify potential lenders and financial institutions for syndication partnerships.

- Structure innovative and market-competitive syndication deals.

Sourcing and Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, NBFCs, institutional investors, and other lending entities.

- Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders involved in syndication.

- Foster partnerships that enable seamless execution of syndication transactions.

Deal Structuring and Negotiation:

- Lead the structuring, pricing, and negotiation of debt syndication transactions.

- Ensure optimal terms for both the venture debt fund and participating lenders.

- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to finalize syndication agreements.

Transaction Execution:

- Oversee end-to-end execution of syndication deals, including due diligence, documentation, and closing processes.

- Coordinate with internal teams to provide data and insights required by syndicate partners.

- Ensure timely and successful syndication of loans to meet funding targets.

Market and Risk Analysis:

- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics in debt syndication and venture finance.

- Assess credit risk and ensure proper allocation of risks among syndication partners.

- Provide insights to the investment team on market conditions and investor sentiment.

Leadership and Team Management:

- Build and lead a high-performing debt syndication team.

- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to enhance their expertise.

- Drive a results-oriented culture focused on delivering high-quality outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

Experience: 10+ years in debt syndication, structured finance, or investment banking, with significant exposure to venture debt or corporate lending.

Education: Advanced degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; CFA or equivalent certifications Strong understanding of venture debt, credit structuring, and risk management.

- Proven track record in leading large-scale syndication deals.

- Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.

- In-depth knowledge of capital markets
