Job Description : Job Title : Cloud Engineer 2 (35 Years Experience)Location : Bangalore / ChennaiWork Mode : HybridRole Type : Permanent (Talpro)Notice Period : ImmediateMandatory Skills : - AWS Services : EMR, S3, IAM, KMS- Spark : Basic understanding and hands-on experience- Python : Core concepts, functions, lambda expressions, map/filter/reduce, flatMap, list/array handling, groupBy, aggregate, reduceByKey- Oracle : Basic query tuning and performance optimization (e.g., using hints for large datasets)Secondary or Good to Have Skills : - Experience working in a data engineering or data pipeline environment- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)- Exposure to big data ecosystems beyond Spark (e.g., Hive, Presto, or Redshift)- Understanding of data security practices on AWSYears of Experience : 3 to 5 YearsJob Summary : We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with 35 years of experience to join our team and support cloud-based data processing environments. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to AWS services (especially EMR), basic knowledge of Spark and Python programming, and a working understanding of Oracle query optimization. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing data workflows on AWS cloud infrastructure.Key Responsibilities : - Design and manage cloud-based data processing solutions using AWS EMR, S3, and IAM.- Write and debug basic Spark jobs for data transformation and analysis.- Develop and maintain Python scripts for data processing using functional programming constructs (map, filter, reduce, etc.)- Optimize Oracle queries for large data volumes using best practices and hints.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient data workflows.- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in data processing pipelinesSoft Skills : - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail- Effective communication and collaboration skills- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment (ref:hirist.tech)
