Azure Virtual Desktop Specialist

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide support and troubleshooting for Azure Virtual Desktop environments.

- Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of VDI technologies, including Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix/VMware.

- Manage and administer user accounts and access permissions using user admin tools.

- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and management tasks within the virtual desktop environment.

- Monitor and optimize the performance of virtual desktop environments using tools like Citrix Director, Citrix DaaS, and Citrix WEM/UPM.

- Work closely with the Service Desk team to resolve technical issues related to virtual desktops.

- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures in the virtual desktop environment.

- Provide end-user support and training as needed to ensure effective use of virtual desktop solutions.

- Collaborate with IT teams to plan and implement upgrades, patches, and enhancements to the virtual desktop infrastructure.

Qualifications :

- Proven experience in Service Desk or Desktop Support roles.

- Strong understanding of VDI technologies, particularly Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix/VMware.

- Familiarity with user administration tools and best practices.

- Basic scripting skills with PowerShell for automation and management tasks.

- Knowledge of Citrix virtual tools, including Citrix Director, Citrix DaaS, and Citrix WEM/UPM.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications in Azure or Citrix technologies.

- Experience with other virtualization technologies and tools.

- Understanding of networking concepts as they relate to virtual desktop environments.

- Familiarity with ITIL processes and practices
