Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple development projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and create plans for internal and external teams.
  • Manage the project’s scope, budget, timeline, and deliverables, using best practices for planning, tracking, and risk management.
  • Ensure high-quality work from development teams and vendors by overseeing, delegating, and monitoring their work while maintaining quality control.
  • Work with other teams to resolve project issues, optimize resources, and keep projects on track.
  • Manage project documentation (like wireframes and mock-ups) to ensure clear communication and compliance with requirements.
  • Oversee all project stages, ensuring deadlines are met, tasks are clearly assigned, and progress is tracked.
  • Provide regular updates to management on milestones, risks, and solutions.


Requirements:

  • Experience in software development with a strong background in managing complex projects.
  • Expertise in Agile project management and leading change in fast-paced environments.
  • Understanding of full-stack development technologies.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and experience with tools like Jira and GitHub.
  • QA/Testing experience is a plus.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and SLAs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and ensure project success.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.


Technical Knowledge:

  • Awareness of the latest web (frontend and backend) and mobile app development frameworks.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and NoSQL databases.
  • Basic understanding of monolithic and microservice architecture and serverless environments.
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD processes, version control (Git), and automation tools.
  • Basic understanding of any one of the cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of unit testing, performance testing, and related tools.


Agile and Waterfall Methodologies:

  • Agile: Understanding of Scrum roles, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, DoR, and DoD.
  • Agile: Familiarity with Story Points, T-shirt sizing estimation, MoSCoW technique, team velocity, and capacity planning.
  • Agile: Experience in sprint planning, retrospectives, and tracking with tools like Jira.
  • Agile: Familiarity with burn-up/burn-down charts and team performance tracking.
  • Waterfall: Knowledge of the phases—requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.


Common Skills:

  • Ability to manage scope changes.
  • Risk identification, impact analysis, and change control processes.
  • Experience with project planning using Gantt charts.
  • Ability to create functional documentation like SRS, FRS, PRD, and test plans.
  • Communication, team management, and leadership skills.
