Summary:

We are actively seeking a highly experienced and versatile Senior Cross Workstream Tech Lead for a critical new development project. This role is a unique opportunity for a leader who will be 60% hands-on development and delivery and 40% focused on technical mentorship, client interaction and team management. The project involves the rewrite of a legacy system for a prominent financial client. The ideal candidate will bring a perfect blend of hands-on technical expertise and effective team mentorship. This role demands proficiency in .NET development, Dapper, SQL Server, React, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and a commitment to robust development standards. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to mentor teams, conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs), make build vs. buy decisions based on supporting research, and possess good knowledge of VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) for automation and custom scripting.

Responsibilities:

Lead and guide a cross-functional team of developers, ensuring the successful execution of the development project. Ownership and accountability of end to end technical delivery of projects, from planning to execution to post production support Balance hands-on technical responsibilities with effective team mentorship, fostering collaboration and skill development. Drive the team towards a delivery focused approach maintaining high quality standards. Design and implement APIs with meticulous documentation, utilizing Swagger for effective communication and integration. Ensure comprehensive testing coverage and maintainable code through rigorous testing methodologies. Utilize Apache Ignite/MemSQL for high-speed data processing and database optimization. Implement messaging solutions using Solace/Signal-R for real-time communication and event-driven architectures. Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) to assess the feasibility and viability of new technologies, presenting findings to inform decision-making. Make informed build vs. buy decisions based on thorough research and analysis. Mentor and guide development teams, sharing expertise and best practices. Analyze existing legacy systems, drive the rewrite process aligned with modern best practices and cloud-ready architecture. Implement reusable components, maintain detailed documentation, and follow established standards for reusability and maintainability. Work collaboratively in an Agile environment, utilizing tools like Jira, Confluence, and Gliffy for efficient project management and communication.
