About the Role :

We are looking for highly skilled and motivated Splunk Developers to join our team in Pune. As a Splunk Developer, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Splunk solutions, with a particular focus on Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI). You will work closely with Splunk Architects and other team members to translate monitoring strategies into functional Splunk dashboards, alerts, and service health models, contributing significantly to our enterprise monitoring capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Splunk Development : Develop, configure, and maintain Splunk dashboards, reports, alerts, and visualizations to meet monitoring and operational intelligence requirements.

- Splunk ITSI Implementation : Implement and configure Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) components, including service models, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), entity creations, aggregation policies, and glass tables based on architectural designs.

- Data Onboarding : Perform data onboarding into Splunk, ensuring efficient indexing, proper field extraction, and data model acceleration.

- Search Language (SPL) Expertise : Write complex and optimized Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) queries to extract meaningful insights from large datasets.

- Troubleshooting & Optimization : Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Splunk performance, data ingestion, search queries, and ITSI functionality.

- Collaboration : Work collaboratively with Splunk Architects to understand design specifications and translate them into robust, scalable Splunk solutions.

- Documentation : Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, including solution designs, configuration guides, and operational procedures.

- Monitoring Concepts : Apply a solid understanding of infrastructure and application monitoring concepts (servers, middleware, databases, applications, APIs) to Splunk development.

- Testing : Conduct unit testing and support integration testing of developed Splunk solutions to ensure accuracy and functionality.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Splunk Developer.

- Strong experience in developing and administering Splunk Enterprise environments.

- Proven hands-on experience with Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI), including service modelling, KPI creation, and glass table design.

- Proficiency in writing complex Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) queries, including knowledge of search commands, functions, and best practices for performance optimization.

- Experience with data onboarding, including configuring inputs, sourcetypes, and index time parsing.

- Familiarity with various types of data sources and their integration into Splunk.

- Basic understanding of cloud-based Splunk environments, especially Splunk Cloud Platform.

- Experience working in enterprise-scale IT environments.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Core Certified User, Splunk Core Certified Power User, Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin) are highly desirable.
