About the function:

FP&A is a critical function that keeps a check on the company’s financial health. We partner with various businesses across the company to conduct budgeting, forecasting and play a key role in providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.


About the role:

As part of the FP&A team, ensuring that the leadership and business teams always get accurate view of the P&L metrics for the Group as well as for all the lines of business. Work closely with business for budgeting exercise and development of Annual Operating Plan which serves as a roadmap for the financial performance. Timely and accurate monthly/quarterly flash reporting.


What will you be doing:

1.Leads quarterly, monthly, mid-monthly management reporting.

2.Business Partnering:

  • Work closely with business for budgeting exercise and development of Annual Operating Plan.
  • Liaison with business to analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures.
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance vis-à-vis budget and forecasting.
  • Conducting monthly reviews with LOB teams addressing open points on any P&L aspects and introduce new areas of running/ad-hoc analysis for improving visibility of business performance.
  • Proactively provide analysis/ insights on revenue mix.

3.Competition analysis - Benchmarking key performance indicators with competitors to analyze performance vis-à-vis market.

4.Prepare presentations for Board of Directors and Senior Management Team.

5.Implement and work on Business Intelligence Tools and prepare Dashboard reports.

6.Improve performance by evaluating processes to identify cost efficiency opportunities.

7.Driving LOB P&Ls and analysis - along with sharp eye on org's deliverables to provide insights to management for decision making.

8.Leveraging Qliksense/Qlikview for data base standardization and creation of dashboard reports.

9.Proactively identifying process automation areas and standardizing the existing reports.


Qualification & Experience:

  • 7-10 years of prior FP&A experience, with exposure to interacting with senior leadership.
  • Good knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Qliksense etc) preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Go-getter attitude to pick up assignments proactively.
  • Effectively work in a team.
  • Analytical bent of mind.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis.


Key Success factors of the role:

  • Have in-depth understanding of financials and all the cost line items.
  • Preparing management reports and tracking performance against KPIs.
  • Prior experience of budgeting and forecasting.
  • Stakeholder Management - Smart individual who can front end discussions with leadership team.
  • Drive automation initiatives - from ideation to implementation
