We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join our team and spearhead the development of cutting-edge AI solutions with a focus on Generative AI and applications in the legal domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and training AI/ML models from scratch, deploying them into production, and working with advanced NLP, LLMs, and vector databases. If you have previously created AI models, including custom Large Language Models (LLMs) or domain-specific models, you will be an excellent fit for this role.



Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and train custom AI models, including Generative AI and NLPbased models tailored for the legal domain.

- Implement techniques for fine-tuning and optimizing large language models for domain-specific use cases.

- Build models from scratch where required, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.

- Design and implement AI-driven systems using Python and frameworks such as FastAPI and Django for robust API development.

- Develop and integrate vector databases for semantic search, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

- Manage data pipelines, including preprocessing and cleansing of unstructured text (legal documents, contracts, case law, etc.).

- Work with SQL and PostgreSQL databases for structured data storage and retrieval.

- Develop generative solutions for document summarization, legal drafting, knowledge extraction, and automated reasoning.

- Leverage modern transformer architectures (e.g., GPT, BERT, LLaMA, Falcon, etc.) to build advanced capabilities.

- Collaborate with product, legal, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions in an Agile environment using tools like Jira and GitHub.

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, LLMs, RAG, and Generative AI technologies and apply them to real-world use cases.

- Propose innovative solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of existing systems.



Preferred Skills & Qualifications :

- Education: Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related field.

- Programming: Strong expertise in Python.

- Frameworks: FastAPI, Django.

- AI/ML: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain (preferred).

- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, experience with Vector Stores (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS).

- Deployment: Experience in containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines.

- Domain Knowledge: Exposure to legal domain applications (contract analysis, case law research, compliance automation) is highly desirable.

- Tools & Practices: GitHub, Jira, Agile methodology.

- Experience: 8+ years in AI/ML engineering, proven track record of building and deploying custom AI models into production, hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLM fine-tuning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).



Good to Have :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for AI deployments.

- Knowledge of MLOps practices for model lifecycle management.

- Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects.

- Prior experience in building legal-specific AI tools or solutions
