In servicing these areas our Civil Engineering team has seen significant growth in demand for civil engineering services in the energy and water markets, where Beca has a significant footprint, whilst we continue to maintain our core transport services. In energy, this relates to brownfield and greenfield electricity network transmission expansion and renewable generation civil engineering and the associated transport connections.

The opportunity

This opportunity will involve leadership in our civil engineering services delivery, providing technical direction and guidance and working with the team leadership in growing our offering in the Transmission and Renewable Energy Market as your primary focus. It is expected that as a senior civil engineering practitioner you will also participate in other civil engineering projects in the other areas of endeavour mentioned above.

Location: this is flexible, however we have a preference to Queensland as we look in particular to taking advantage of the energy market civil engineering opportunities and growing our civil team there.

You will bring strong connections in the area of civil engineering services for the Energy market with authorities, government entities, developers and contractors. The role will provide:-

Client engagement and relationship management: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships through effective communication and responsiveness to project needs primarily in the energy market

Pursuit and securing of civil balance of plant services: Working with the energy market team winning a pipeline of civil engineering opportunities in the energy market

Project leadership and technical support: Provide leadership across civil balance of plant services for transmission and renewables projects, ensuring technical excellence in design, planning, and project execution.

Mentorship and team development: Foster the professional growth of the team, working with the team and business leaders, by offering mentorship, technical guidance, and career development support.

About you

You are a Chartered Civil Engineer with a strong track record in winning and delivering civil engineering services in the transport, energy and similar markets including the delivery of civil balance of plant engineering across the renewables and transmission projects preferably within an Australian consulting your career you will have developed skills in client facing roles and ability to win work through good client engagement and providing leadership for pursuits and bids.

You will have strong expertise in the design and technical aspects of these projects and demonstrated experience in growing teams and building capability in a consultancy environment.
