Job Title : TypeScript/Playwright Automation Engineer

Location : Bangalore

Experience : 12-13 Years

Key Responsibilities :

Automation Development :

- Design and implement robust, scalable, and reusable end-to-end automated tests using TypeScript and Playwright.

- Develop and maintain automation frameworks and utilities to support UI, API, and regression testing.

- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing.

Collaboration & Integration :

- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product owners to understand feature requirements and identify test automation needs.

- Contribute to code reviews and maintain high-quality, readable, and maintainable code.

Test Planning & Execution :

- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing functionalities.

- Identify gaps in test coverage and proactively expand the automated test suite.

- Analyze test results, debug failures, and report defects with clear reproduction steps.

Continuous Improvement :

- Keep up-to-date with latest testing frameworks, tools, and best practices in automation.

- Provide feedback and recommendations for improving product quality and testing processes.

Required Skills & Experience :

Technical Expertise :

- 12-13 years of experience in test automation for web-based applications.

- 3-5 years of experience as a lead of the team

- Strong hands-on expertise with TypeScript (or JavaScript) for test automation.

- Proficiency with Playwright for end-to-end automation (mandatory).

- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Solid understanding of web technologies, DOM, CSS, and browser behaviors.

- Knowledge of REST APIs and ability to automate API tests is a plus.

- Good understanding of software testing principles, test case design, and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and performance.

Nice to Have (Preferred Skills) :

- Experience with other automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Selenium).

- Familiarity with performance testing tools.

- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience in agile development methodologies.
