Position Title: Horticulturist


Location: Sinhagadh Khudje Swastik -


Job Responsibilities:

1. Landscaping Development & Maintenance:

- Plan, design, and oversee the development and maintenance of landscaped areas.

- Ensure the aesthetic and functional quality of lawns, gardens, and public green spaces.

- Collaborate with contractors, landscape architects, and other professionals to create

sustainable and visually appealing environments.

- Supervise the installation of plants, shrubs, trees, and other landscaping elements.

- Monitor the growth and health of all vegetation, ensuring that landscaping work meets

the highest standards of quality and safety.

2. Vegetable Cultivation and Organic Farming:

- Lead initiatives on organic vegetable cultivation and herbal plantation within the site.

- Implement sustainable farming practices and promote the use of organic fertilizers and

pesticides.

- Monitor crop cycles, yields, and health of plants, ensuring that best practices in organic

farming is adhered to.

- Stay updated on modern trends in organic farming and integrate relevant techniques into

cultivation efforts.

3. Herbal and Medicinal Plant Management:

- Oversee the cultivation and maintenance of herbal and medicinal plants.

- Ensure proper planting, pruning, and care to maintain the quality and efficacy of the

plants.

- Monitor the growth cycles and health of plants, taking appropriate measures to promote

healthy growth.


4. Team Management and Supervision:

- Lead a team of gardeners and landscape workers, providing guidance and training as

needed.

- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and

environmental regulations.

- Oversee the daily operations of landscape development and ensure adherence to

timelines and project goals.

5. Resource Management:

- Source and procure quality plants, seeds, and materials necessary for landscaping and

organic farming projects.

- Maintain an inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good condition

and properly maintained.

6. Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare reports on the progress of landscaping and farming projects.

- Maintain detailed records of plant species, crop cycles, and resource usage.

- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and any legal requirements related to

landscaping and farming.


Qualifications & Experience:

1. Educational Background:

- Graduation in Agriculture or Horticulture (BSc Agri/Horti)

2. Experience:

- 8 to 10 years of experience in landscaping, including both development and

maintenance.

- Some hands-on experience in vegetable cultivation, organic farming, herbal plantation,

and/or medicinal plants.

3. Other Requirements:

- Willingness to relocate to the Swastik site or currently residing within a 15 km radius.

- Strong knowledge of landscape design, plant care, and organic farming practices.
