Production Engineer

As part of the Oetiker Production Engineering team, you will drive key development activities for metal forming products and manufacturing processes:

• Process Support & Development: Execute NPD tasks, process validation, and quality checks. Address new customer requirements, engaging with officials for approvals when needed.
• Project Coordination: Support senior engineers in tracking timelines, organizing meetings, and communicating updates across teams.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate project documentation, process SAP Material Master, and support QMS audits for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Global Collaboration: Work with the Swiss R&D Team to ensure compliance with global standards for drawings, part numbers, and related documentation.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to digitalization initiatives, analyze production metrics, and propose solutions to enhance efficiency using lean tools.
• Cross-functional Teamwork: Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to implement new processes or products, escalating issues as needed.

Qualifications:

Education & Knowledge:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
• Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; knowledge of CAD software, SAP, or automotive core tools is a plus

Required Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:

• 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing or automotive sectors; relevant internships considered for freshers
• Proactive problem-solver comfortable with ambiguity and engaging with officials when needed
• Results-driven with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Interest in continuous improvement, including digitalization and lean tools
• Basic English proficiency for collaboration and documentation
• Team player willing to learn from senior colleagues and work across functions
