Job Description :


- Expert at test automation, creating test plans, test strategies for testing multiple product modules

- Hands-on experience with Python-Selenium or Cypress will be preferred.

- Familiarity with Test Management systems like X-ray.

- Experience with various SQL databases such as MySQL, Oracle, Postgress RDS elct

- Should be able to quickly analyze failures and trace back to issues in the product or the automation suite

- Knowledge on AWS, Salesforce, Azure

- Active directory will be an added advantage

Desirable Skills :

- Working knowledge of Dockers and Kubernetes will be an advantage.

- Awareness of general manual and automation concepts and all types of testing methods.

- Knowledge of the Backup or Storage domain will be an advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Be part of the agile development team and closely work with the developers.

- Develop a detailed understanding of the features/enhancements for the product - including functional specifications and design with the perspective of performing automated and manual, white box as well as black-box testing.

- Independently create feature test plans based on development and feature completion milestones.

- Leverage the automation framework for automating feature tests and augment to the existing framework/libraries for enabling new feature tests.

- Own end-to-end test execution for user stories.

- Create and maintain the testbed setup, and document the steps for the same.

- Timely reporting, tracking, and updating of issues and test cases

- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development cycle

Key Skills :

- Proficiency in Windows and Linux OS.

- Threading, multiprocessing, and socket programming knowledge.

- Strong shell scripting skills.

- Experience with bug and test management tools (e.g., Jira, XRay).

- Programming proficiency Python will be okay with Java who is willing to work on python.

- Cloud architecture understanding.

- File Systems and basic networking knowledge.

- SQL database experience.

- Analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.

- Front-end web automation knowledge (Selenium, Cypress, Puppeteer).

- RESTful API testing expertise.

- Version control system usage (Git, SVN).

- Agile testing methodologies and quality metrics familiarity.

Pluses :

- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, etc

- Experience with any NoSQL databases - MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.

Requirements for Candidates :

- Only considering candidates based in Pune.

- Strong academic background. Pls, mention in the resume.

- Current & Previous experience in core product development companies. Current role and responsibilities should be mentioned under the project.

- Python Automation Engineer is preferred with Backend Automation.
