Job Description


We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and working closely with our development team to deliver top-notch software solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and usability testing to ensure software meets specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback.
  • Verify fixes and perform follow-up testing to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Participate in review meetings and provide input on requirements, design, and potential problems.
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test results, and defect reports.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in software QA.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in manual software testing.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in creating and executing detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of various testing types including functional, regression, integration, and usability testing.
  • Ability to write clear and concise defect reports.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to write simple queries.

Competency

Skilled in Security testing, Penetration Testing, Burp Suite tool exp. mandatory
