Polarion Administrator
Job Summary:
The Polarion Administrator will play a crucial role in managing and supporting our Polarion ALM environment. This position involves ensuring system functionality, optimizing workflows, and assisting team members in leveraging Polarion to enhance project management and software development processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain the Polarion ALM system, ensuring optimal performance and availability for all users.
Configure projects and manage repositories to meet the specifications of various teams and projects.
Provide user support and perform training sessions to familiarize team members with Polarion functionalities and best practices.
Develop and implement workflows, customizations, and reports to increase efficiency and project visibility.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, gather requirements, and implement solutions.
Monitor and manage system upgrades, patches, and integrations with other tools and platforms.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of the ALM system to ensure compliance and optimal user experience.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10 years of experience managing or administering Polarion ALM or similar tools.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
Proven experience in workflow configuration, project setup, and issue resolution in Polarion.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to system administration.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Java) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud-based implementations of Polarion ALM.
Knowledge of additional Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and their integrations with Polarion.
Previous experience in a development or engineering role.
