Amazon's Finance Tech team needs a Technical Program Manager to shape the future of the Amazon finance data platform by working with stakeholders in North America, Asia and Europe. The team is committed to building the next generation big data platform that will be one of the world's largest finance data warehouses by volume to support Amazon's rapidly growing and dynamic businesses, and use it to deliver the BI applications which will have an immediate influence on day-to-day decision making. Members of the team will be challenged to innovate using the latest big data techniques. We are looking for a passionate TPM to drive critical goals and set vision of the team by generating 3 year plan. You will share in the ownership of the technical vision and direction for advanced reporting and insight products. You will work with top-notch technical professionals developing complex systems at scale and with a focus on sustained operational excellence. If you love to implement solutions to hard problems while working hard, having fun, and making history, this may be the opportunity for you.Key job responsibilities - Drive end-to-end ownership of strategic cross-functional initiatives spanning product definition, roadmap planning, and execution - Lead technical programs focused on scaling Finance Month end close processes globally while optimizing cost and speed to market - Partner closely with business, operations and executive leadership to define product strategy and provide program updates - Be hands-on in delivering critical business initiatives - managing project planning, requirements, risks, and implementation - Solve complex technical challenges through innovative solutions while building consensus across teams - Make key strategic and tactical decisions while maintaining focus on long-term objectives - Provide technical leadership in product architecture and design decisions BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience - 3+ years of software development experience - 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadershipOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
